Parkhurst Dining is seeking a creative and motivated Marketing & Social Media Intern for the 2021-2022 academic year. In this role, you will assist our dining team at with the development and implementation of exciting, relevant, and strategic marketing, communication, and sales building initiatives for the campus community. This is an incredible opportunity to get hands-on experience within the many facets of marketing and communication.

ESSENTIAL JOB EXPECTATIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ideate and assist with executing events, activities, and marketing campaigns that support a strong and exciting campus culture
Help manage the local digital presence including planning, maintaining and measuring channels such as Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, in addition to mobile app(s) and dining website content
Help develop, execute, and measure a strategic marketing plan that showcases dining as an integral part of the campus experience
Activate attractive and effective print marketing and signage elements
Engage students to collect and leverage feedback for marketing strategy
Act as a student liaison with various departments and organizations on campus
Collaborate with the Parkhurst corporate marketing team, via weekly video calls, to develop new ideas and tools for marketing and communication

QUALIFICATIONS:

Current university student pursuing a degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or related field
Knowledge and interest in using social media for business
Highly organized and a motivated self-starter with an attention to detail
Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
Ability to take direction and absorb information quickly
Fluent in Microsoft Office Suite and technologically savvy

START DATE & HOURS:

Requires a full academic year commitment beginning in the fall semester. 10-20 hours per week, as agreed upon with supervisor, carried out over a minimum of two days per week. Schedule is flexible to accommodate class schedules and other on-campus commitments.
