Position is responsible for tracking analytics and providing analysis across the library’s digital channels to understand the impact of the content and digital strategies employed to help move the organization’s work forward. Using both quantitative and qualitative analysis methods, this role prepares and maintains a portfolio of internal digital business intelligence results and analysis and evaluation outcomes. This position provides leadership around recommendations to measure performance, improve processes and drive strategy.

  • Tracks digital analytics across website, email, social media and other digital platforms; prepares reports to help guide cross-departmental digital efforts.
  • Partners with internal teams to analyze data from multiple sources to measure the effectiveness of digital marketing efforts against library business data.
  • Works collaboratively with internal partners to design, deploy and measure targeted marketing campaigns to grow specific audiences, increase usage, and understand customer behaviors.
  • Ensures the integrity of all data quality, data accuracy, data analysis and analytical processes to find and validate results, trends and conclusions.
  • Supports data visualization projects, including the evaluation of performance metrics, monitoring and graphical content.
  • Track email campaign metrics; open rates, click-thru rates
  • Develops and executes customer and influencer strategies to improve the online customer experience, including optimized digital advertising.
  • Works with digital partners who advise and help execute the library’s digital strategy.
  • Researches and follows industry and digital trends to identify potential marketing opportunities.
  • Updates website content through WordPress content management system.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.


  • Expected or earned bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Marketing, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or related field.
  • Two to five years of digital marketing, marketing and/or data analytics, and digital content management experience.
  • Skilled in Google Analytics, Facebook Business Manager, social media platforms and related tools plus website content management systems.
  • Strong understanding of KPIs for digital marketing and digital media.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data to prepare reports and communicate actionable recommendations; proactive with proven ability to initiate and complete tasks.
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Experience storytelling with data; working knowledge of Tableau preferred.
  • Ability to work remotely as needed.
  • Ability and commitment to work with the public.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to operate library technology including personal computer, email, and software programs (i.e. Windows/Microsoft Office) and other job related equipment and systems.
  • Ability to utilize reliable transportation to promptly report to job assignment and other locations, per job requirements.
