PRIMARY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

The Marketing Assistant will report to the Director of Marketing and should inspire and embody HomeState’s culture, mission, and core values. Embrace the vision which includes nurturing our communities within our four walls and in our surrounding community. You’ll support the creative identity, strategy, visual design, content and brand voice to execute marketing initiatives. Ultimately, you will help to vibrantly and honestly share the story of HomeState.

Primary areas of responsibility:

Project Management and Organization

  • Managing projects from beginning to completion. Building project in internal project management system. Work with other departments to ensure all operational, culinary and service needs are met and accounted for to ensure successful launch of marketing campaigns.
  • Organize print projects, collateral, and graphic design projects with printers and creative consultants such as designers and illustrators.
  • Assist with launch of guest loyalty program
  • Assist with website design and up keep
  • Assist in guest retention via email monitoring, yelp, google reviews, etc
  • Monitor and update digital listings such as google, yext, etc.
  • Organize marketing materials and merchandise and distribute to locations as needed
  • Assist with special events such as Margarita Showdown, band taco launch events, etc.
  • Special eye for the sights and sounds of each store, awareness of atmosphere such as storefront posters, music, etc. Address areas of improvement as they are noticed and work towards ensuring each store is up to the expected visual standard.
  • Assist with development of marketing plans.
  • Organize photos, copy or other digital assets as needed for PR requests or special projects.

Social Media

  • Work directly with the Director of Marketing to develop content and storytelling ideas
  • Capture images/content for use on Social Media Platforms to support Company initiatives
  • Ensure all content is on-brand, consistent in terms of style, quality and tone of voice, and optimized for search and user experience for all channels of content including online, social media, email, mobile and video
  • Support marketing and advertising efforts through focused strategy
  • Generate monthly return on investment (ROI) and analytics reports
  • Attend and present at marketing meetings with leadership and management team
  • Support daily management of all social media platforms by engaging guests in comments and DMs using HomeState’s established voice
  • Manage content calendars

Guest communication and company newsletters

  • Work closely with Director of Marketing to plan and generate newsletter content
  • Import new contacts from POS systems and maintain audience lists
  • Identity ways to maximize sub growth and engagement
  • Generate campaign reports

SKILLS

  • Social Media platforms including Instagram, FB, Twitter, LinkedIn
  • Strong grasp of trending social media conversations with ability to respond quickly and on brand
  • Photography and light image editing
  • Written and verbal communication
  • Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and video editing ability is preferred
  • Artistic ability is a plus
  • Excellent problem solving and multitasking
  • Customer service & guest relations
  • Regular and dependable attendance
  • Self motivated and confident
  • Must be a strong collaborator

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be available to work a minimum of 40 hours per week, with weekend availability required and with an occasional sixth day.
  • Must be able to to travel between HomeState locations as needed via personal transportation method and ability to track mileage for reimbursement
