The Senior Product Marketing Analyst is responsible for supporting the marketing activities for a range of OCLC products and services (EZProxy, EZProxy Analytics, WMS/WorldShare Platform, APIs and Developer Network). Working with the product marketing manager and product management staff, the successful candidate will develop and implement go-to-market strategies and tactical marketing plans for current and future products.

Responsibilities:

Understand the customer : Collaborate with product marketing manager and product management in coordinating and documenting input from buyers and users of OCLC products through relevant user groups and/or advisory groups, win/loss analysis and market research activities.

Tell the product “story” : Develop product positioning and messaging that differentiates OCLC services in the market to buyers and users of services. Craft and articulate clear and compelling stories, using language that is understandable and compelling around products, benefits and innovation.

Launch new products and maintain awareness for existing products : Execute go-to-market and marketing plans to support the launch of new products and drive awareness and use of enhancements to existing services. Coordinate marketing across multiple communications channels as appropriate.

Drive execution of marketing programs: Work closely with members of product management, corporate marketing and sales to create compelling marketing programs, sales tools, and marketing assets.

Support sales success : Create presentations, talking points and other tools for sales and other staff support the selling process to a range of segments within the library community. Work with corporate marketing to deliver the messages and tools with excellence.

Measure effectiveness : Gather inputs and data to evaluate the impact of marketing initiatives and inform changes in marketing strategy and tactics.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communication or another relevant field. Master of Library Science, MBA or equivalent post-graduate qualification a plus.
• 5 + years of marketing experience, preferably with library or technology products. The candidate will have experience in both product marketing and communications functions.
• Exceptional written, verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Experience and knowledge in the use of marketing automation tools and social media in support of product marketing initiatives.
• Experience applying the Pragmatic Marketing framework or equivalent in managing the launch and marketing of new products.
• Ability to effectively manage internal and external relationships with OCLC staff, members and partners.
• Prefer experience with Microsoft Excel.
