Located just outside the Universal Orlando™ theme parks, our Lakewood Regional Support Facility serves as the central operation for all our on-site hotels. Lakewood provides resources to the hotels for various departments, including Human Resources, Purchasing, Accounting, Security, Group Reservations, Telecommunications, Technology and Laundry.

Works as part of the PR team supporting the eight on-site hotels operated by Loews Hotels, and owned in a joint venture partnership with Universal Orlando and Hard Rock International. Creates content, engages with fans and supports social media initiatives for the on-site hotels. Monitors social media channels and review sites and provides timely responses to inquiries. Utilizes social media to create and enhance positive, memorable guest experiences. Collaborates with partners to support branded programs and destination-wide initiatives. Assists with photo and video shoots, special events and food and beverage initiatives. Supports the overall goals and responsibilities of the department and the on-site hotels.

Duties and Essential Functions

  • Oversees and coordinates with all stakeholders to execute photo and video shoots at the on-site hotels.

  • Maintains a social media content calendar in accordance with brand standards and guidelines.

  • Creates and curates engaging content for all social media channels.

  • Responds to guest comments on review sites and liases directly with hotel team to escalate guest service issues.

  • Exercises independent judgment in all facets of work including photo/video shoots, social media, review sites and other matters that reflect upon the company.

  • Researches credentials of journalists and bloggers requesting accommodations.

  • Assists with the planning and execution of Loews Hotels Good Neighbor events, media fam trips, community events and charity events.

  • Maintains accurate contact information for media, influencers and other social contacts.

  • Assists in the completion of special projects as assigned.

  • Pitches ideas and writes blog posts for the Loews Hotels & Co. and Hard Rock Hotel Orlando websites.

  • Supports the hotel teams on activations such as a new event, food and beverage menu and/or company program.

  • Liases with the Universal Orlando social team to garner exposure on their social channels.

  • Takes initiative and follows through on all assignments.

Required Skills

  • Knowledge of social platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and TikTok and has enthusiasm for all things social.

  • Proficient in office equipment operation, keyboard 50 wpm, computer software: Word, Excel, Power Point.

  • Excellent skills in copywriting, editing and crafting engaging captions for social that are true to the brand voice.

  • Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

  • Effective time management, leadership, organizational and communication skills.

  • Guest service oriented, with excellent hospitality skills.

  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment, meet deadlines and interactive effectively with all levels of team members.

Preferred Skills

  • Prior hotel/hospitality experience

  • Experience managing other brand social media accounts

  • Strong passion for content creation

  • Photo/video editing skills are a plus

  • Familiar with Adobe suite
