Plancorp is seeking a Director of Marketing. This person will lead a team responsible for developing our marketing strategy to drive audience engagement and improve business results. If you are an experienced marketing leader with a digital marketing background, this could be the role for you.

Position Overview:

As Director of Marketing, you will lead a team who will design the strategy we employ to move marketing forward at the firm. You will be responsible for building multi-channel marketing strategies and campaigns designed to acquire, retain and build client loyalty. This role will also oversee our Content and Thought Leadership Programs which fuel our growth strategies to interest successful professionals with complex finances. Experience with marketing automation technologies, strategic planning, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team are critical success factors for this role.

This position requires a level of critical thinking, creativity and the know-how to integrate compelling messaging into various marketing channels to inspire desired actions. As with all positions at Plancorp, specific duties will be adapted to our clients’ needs. In general, in this role you will…

  • Identify audience segments and design marketing campaigns that incorporate relevant content to improve conversion rates within our business development pipeline
  • Develop strategies to create compelling content designed to generate leads, qualify prospects for business development and convert qualified leads into clients. This may include, but is not limited to, blog articles, eBooks, helpful guides or worksheets, infographics, videos, podcasts, social posts, etc
  • Manage departmental budget; direct staff and leverage agency partners to efficiently implement strategies
  • Oversee the creation of automated workflows (using HubSpot) that present relevant topics and information
  • Analyze marketing data and generate actionable insights to apply to campaigns to improve business development conversion rates
  • Analyze content efforts and lead conversion performance, and make adjustments as necessary
  • Research, test and integrate new content distribution channels
  • Support advisors’ organic business development efforts and client events
What you bring:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required
  • Exceptional interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills – creative, business, and technical writing strongly desired
  • At least 7-10 years of experience with digital marketing
  • Proficient in Hubspot (or equivalent automation software)
  • Knowledge of established social media technologies, platforms, and channels
  • A passion for digital media, learning new platforms and testing content distribution channels
  • Experience with marketing analytics
