Job Summary:

As the Social Media Manager, you need to work with brands and agencies to develop best-in-class social programs designed to deliver goals based on a holistic consumer experience plan. This will include leading social and influencer strategy, content strategy, managing project timelines and setting benchmarks to measure success. The role reports to a Sr. Manager, Experience Planning to ensure connectivity to the brand’s broader experience plan, jobs to be done and content strategies.

The ideal candidate should have significant experience in driving successful consumer social campaigns across all platforms and a proven track record of delivering measurable results. The right candidate will also have a deep understanding of the evolving social media landscape and will help create a social vision for assigned businesses. This candidate will be able to work fast, manage multiple priorities, take ownership and be a team player with an ability to work across multiple cross-functional teams.

  • Collaboration is Key – In this collaborative role, you’ll partner with brand teams to understand growth objectives, strategies and consumer behaviors and provide Social and Influencer Engagement support through the Experience Planning process. As the Social and Influencer specialist, you’ll participate in social strategy development and tactical plan development and execution for social and influencer.

  • Lead Social Strategy – With an owner’s mindset, you’ll lead the development of social strategy alongside our agency partners, and also lead development of the social content calendar, planning and scheduling, and have oversight of community management. Because, consumers are at the heart of everything we create, in this role you’ll leverage Social Listening insights for content development and social engagement.

  • Drive Activation of Influencer Strategy – Design and execute earned media and cultural influencer programs within the experience plan. To actively build advocacy and relevance for our iconic brands, in this role you’ll leverage influencer relations, in conjunction with the agencies, to earn positive news coverage and authentic influencer coverage of our brands to resonate with today’s consumer.

  • Analyze and Apply Insights – You’ll continue to grow and expand our Experience knowledge through internal and external training session and workshops and obtain and analyze insights from owned social content reporting.

  • Share Best Practices - Acting as a connector and facilitator with internal teams, you’ll organize and lead social and influencer playbooks development and best practice implementation. You’ll apply platform best practices and establish guidelines as they relate to driving consumer behavior in the market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee social strategy, creative ideation, and development to deliver innovative, best-in-class social campaigns for consumers

  • Lead the strategy and development of standard operating procedures for working with influencers across various platforms

  • Develop performance metrics for campaigns, working with platforms, agencies, and internal analytics team to understand effectiveness of strategy and creative, making recommendations for agile improvement

  • Manage agencies and oversee campaign planning and management

  • Partner with social platforms to ensure best-in-class practices, identify new opportunities and innovation

  • Develop and upskill marketing organization’s social capabilities

  • Identify opportunities for the brand to join or create meaningful conversations with fans on social.

  • Uncover real-time social opportunities that build advocacy for the brand and its iconic menu items.

  • Evolve brand storytelling through evergreen social efforts inspired by culturally relevant moments and real-time social conversations.

  • Manage influencer strategies and partnerships for one of the most talked about brands in the world.

  • Keep a pulse on emerging trends and platforms that offer new ways for the brand to maintain a modern, relevant presence in culture.

  • Support the strategy, planning and execution of real-time, event marketing activations, inclusive of influencer partnerships, content integrations, and on-site social production.

Job Qualifications:

Education: BA/BS from an accredited college or university

Experience: 5+ years of experience working on social campaigns on client-side or agency

Professional Skills:

  • Proven success in building and executing campaigns across all social media platforms

  • Knowledge of the evolving social media industry including new and emerging social and influencer platforms

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment, readily adapting and continually changing priorities

  • Ability to multi-task and work across multiple teams

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong project management skills and attention to detail

Role Specific Skills:

  • Working knowledge of Khoros, Brandwatch, and other social suite platforms

  • Expert User of Social Platforms: Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, Twitter, Snapchat, TikTok, etc.
