We`re hiring for an Agriculture Recruiting Intern who is energetic and self-motivated to be an integral part of our team. This internship is designed for individuals who bring strong agriculture or horticulture backgrounds looking to expand their skill set as a recruiter. You will work through training and start off your 12 week internship working to source passive candidates and support Senior Recruiters in candidate generation for various openings. The goal is for you to progress learning full-service recruiting and explore various sectors and jobs within the agriculture industry. This paid internship will be full-time and can be based remotely from your home. Our ideal candidate is currently enrolled in college and brings agriculture experience in any sector such as seed, crop protection, grain, livestock, agronomy, vertical farming, ag equipment, etc. What You Will Be Doing
Collaborate with recruiters to get a deep understanding of the roles and types of candidate backgrounds, skills and abilities to target
Use various systems and tools to connect with potential candidates including social media (indeed, LinkedIn, Facebook), networking, direct candidate sourcing as well as our ATS to reach out to candidates
Sit in on phone screens and practice professional phone etiquette for interviews and client interaction
Research company names and create potential candidate lists
Work with recruiters on sourcing strategies and techniques
Develop and create compelling, individualized messages to candidates
Manage candidate’s information accurately in our applicant tracking system (ATS)
Learn talent management, organization, and strong communication skills
Currently a sophomore through senior in college
Ideal degree path in Agribusiness, Ag Communications, HR, or related Ag field
Strong industry knowledge of agriculture and/or horticulture
Currently have a GPA at or above 3.2 on a 4.0 scale
Proven attention to detail, a naturally fast-pace worker, and desire to learn
Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and collaborate in a team environment
Excellent written and verbal communication, creative and critical thinking skills
Ability to successfully work from home
