We are looking for an experienced social media professional to lead a team that specializes in driving growth, entertainment and engagement on Etsy’s organic social media channels.
As the Director, Global Social Media you will develop and champion Etsy`s social media strategy reaching over 11m followers across Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter, TikTok, and YouTube. You will lead cross-functional work and collaborate with strategic marketing, content, design, and communications to build experiences that deepen connections with Etsy. This is a full-time position reporting to the Sr. Director of Community & Seller Growth within the CMO organization. We offer flexible workplace policies that can accommodate work-from-home candidates who are comfortable traveling to the Brooklyn headquarters 2-4 times per year. We’re open to remote hires within all U.S. states, willing to work east coast time.
In this role you will:
Lead the social media brand strategy, with a focus to deliver creative social-first content to increase followers, reach and engagement across our core social channels.
Identify efficient ways to build, source, and curate still and video content for YouTube, IG, FB, Twitter, Pinterest, TikTok etc.
Mentor, encourage and guide the team to build new concepts that elevate the brand, are culturally relevant and deliver results.
Establish and develop a narrative around the business impact of critical metrics for social media and communicate back monthly to the business.
Drive budget and execution of marketing initiatives through content storytelling, ensuring a consistent brand message that is channel relevant across multiple consumer touch points.
Develop a strategic playbook on ways to use external agencies and content creators to improve impact and efficiencies.
Maintain cross-functional alignment, clear communication, flawless integration and timely execution of programs with internal leadership.
Amplify Etsy’s influencer programs and press opportunities in an effort to engage new and existing audiences.
Partner with cross-functional teams to bring company-wide marketing campaigns to life.
Continually explore new channels for Etsy to use to grow our social media reach.
