Overview: Lead the women’s basketball digital strategy with innovative content and storytelling that drives maximum exposure and brand affinity. Manage the day-to-day relationship with key vendors, including NCAA Photos. Serve as an internal and external subject-matter expert when it comes to the digital consumption of college sports.

Job Responsibilities Responsible for oversight of the NCAA women’s basketball digital strategy, focusing on the following: student-athlete storytelling; Women’s Final Four event digital strategy development and execution; driving season-long fan engagement with key digital and social platforms; growing the NCAA women’s basketball brand and public perception; and assisting with revenue-generating opportunities. Additional sport-specific social media community management assignments TBD. Produce multimedia content for social media channels including graphic, video, photography, audio, and text. Live, breathe, understand, and advocate for digital sport communities to help drive stakeholder goals. Will be the public voice on several social media accounts and must have proven sound judgment as to what is posted. Manage the NCAA Photos partnership with Clarkson Creative. Direct photography services at all 90 NCAA Championships. Compile shot lists for all championships as necessary. Assist NCAA Championship staff & membership with photo requests. Assist with the management of the digital rights partnership with Turner Sports with the primary goal of creating more cohesive and engaging content across platforms. Utilize and react to social platform metrics on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis. Communicate and educate NCAA membership and national office stakeholders on issues surrounding and performance of digital and social media. Serve as a resource to other Championships and Alliances departments related to the update and approval of content on and surrounding NCAA digital and social platforms. Protect the NCAA brand by navigating policies and guidelines with a focus on partner support and success. Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor`s degree required.
  • Three to five years digital and/or social media experience.
  • Passionate interest in Women’s Basketball or Women’s Sport
  • Excellent written and oral presentation skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Vaccinated for COVID-19.
  • Experience in sports, entertainment, or related industries (preferred).
  • Experience in committee and project team decision-making process (preferred).
