To be successful in this role, you must be able to:

  • Develop and execute on a School-wide editorial calendar, including print and digital communications.
  • Coordinate production timelines for all major print projects, including the Annual Report, Magazine, Resource Guides, admissions collateral, and other publications
  • Create content for School’s email campaigns, including community announcements, event invitations, division head communications, College Counseling newsletters, solicitations, and other external notices; maintain templates and ensure brand integrity.
  • Manage school-wide digital mailing lists for multiple constituencies, including audiences, groups, tags, and more.
  • Update content to ensure consistency between parent communications, parent portal, and online calendar.
  • Coordinate the School’s annual enrollment/re-enrollment forms process.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with key campus stakeholders, including Division Heads and colleagues in External Relations, Admissions, Athletics, College Counseling, and Summer Camp.
  • Collaborate with Marketing & Communications Team members to assist with additional team responsibilities as needed, including photography, social media, calendar management, and website updates.
  • Provide administrative support to the Marketing & Communications team through budget management, file storage/organization, and coordination of team’s project management software.
  • Effectively interact with colleagues, faculty, staff, administration, students, parents, and other community members.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, journalism, communications, or a related field.
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in communications, marketing, advertising, or journalism; knowledge of independent school environment desirable but not required.
  • Comfort with various technology platforms.
  • Strategic and critical thinking skills and the ability to articulate the school’s value proposition.
  • Excellent writing, grammar, and editorial skills.
  • Demonstrated organizational and operational skills; superior interpersonal skills; excellent written and verbal communication; attention to detail.
  • Ability to develop, monitor, and adhere to budgets and production schedules.
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong and productive working relationships and effectively manage work and desired outputs across multiple departments and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
  • A team player with a positive, entrepreneurial, and service- and results-oriented attitude.
  • Ability to create and contribute to an engaging and inclusive learning environment and workplace
