We are looking for a Social Media Intern for the summer term (from September 2021 to December 2021).

The Social Media Intern with WIN will assist the Operations Manager with WIN’s social media and marketing efforts. This internship is an excellent opportunity for someone seeking experience managing multiple social media accounts for a growing startup. Working both independently and collaboratively in a team to fulfill organizational goals and initiatives related to programming and events, this role is so much more than knowing how to use a social media account. The Social Media Intern will need to be a planner and strategist, with skills in marketing, copywriting, and design. A completely remote role, the intern hired for this position should be excited to share in the development of the brand and eager to gain extensive online experience.


  • Monitor and post on blogs, forums, and social networks

  • Assist with online outreach and promotion using Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, and more

  • Optimize website and social media

  • Perform keyword analysis and cost/benefit analysis

  • Assist in creating content for blogs, forums and social networks


  • Firm grasp of social media tools and platforms including Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn

  • Completed or working toward a college degree (Junior level or up), preferably in a related field (e.g., English, Marketing/Communications, Advertising, Graphic Design, or Public Relations)

  • Previous internship or related experience in marketing or social media is a plus

  • Must be computer literate (working knowledge of word processing, Google Drive and Google applications)

  • Planning and scheduling the Instagram feed using Planoly

  • Create graphics and creative assets using Canva, Adobe Illustrator, and/or Adobe Photoshop

  • Write customer-focused, sales-driven captions for Instagram

  • Post daily to Instagram stories

  • Keep up-to-date with social media trends, especially new features and opportunities with Instagram and LinkedIn

  • Monitor, post, and assist in creating content for blogs, forums, and social networks

  • Assisting staff with tracking, formatting, and archiving reviews and other media

  • Assisting in the production of advertisements, press releases, and promotional materials

  • Self-starter, good time management, creative, with the ability to communicate in a professional manner

  • Commitment to the continuous improvement of service quality and the organization’s mission

  • Brainstorm, pitch, and run new social media marketing ideas to continue to grow WIN’s reach, traffic & conversion


10 - 15 hours / week, schedule is flexible but must have availability during working hours (9 am - 5 pm ET) Monday - Friday
