Position Summary:

This position both (1) develops advertising creative content and (2) assesses the quantitative results of the creative content in terms of prospective students who respond to the marketing content by applying to Campbell University as a new student for Online or other extended campus programming. This creative content will appear primarily in digital platforms such as Google and Facebook Ads, but other media include billboards, flyers, emails, and physical handouts/flyers. This position is also responsible for outreach and nurturance of the leads generated by digital marketing. The performance of this position will be based on quantitative results in terms of prospective students who are generated by marketing content and digital deployment. This role will also coordinate work with external marketing firms in collaborative projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Meet inquiry/lead goals each enrollment cycle set by leadership.
  • Work closely with admissions staff to coordinate lead nurturance.
  • Assess the performance and outcomes of different marketing campaigns, with a focus on enrollment targets.
  • On a daily basis, track marketing-relevant data with systems such as Google Analytics, marketing company generated data, CRM reports, Facebook and other social media data, and other student recruitment data.
  • Continually refine advertising deployments on multiple digital platforms based on audience engagement.
  • Conduct outreach on leads and prospective students generated by digital marketing, contributing to lead conversion into applications.
  • Maintain Google Analytics certification status.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.Uphold and abide by Campbell University policies and procedures, including but not limited to Title IX, and Information Security, including but not limited to; FERPA and other state and federal mandates.

  • Bachelor degree required, Business/Marketing degree desired.
  • Professional marketing experience desired.
  • Experience with digital marketing, including paid search, desired.
  • Experience creating ad content that is visually appealing and drives market engagement desired.
  • Experience in a higher education or non-profit sector desired.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to communicate effectively to all groups through both oral and written channels
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills
  • Comprehensive computer skills, with the ability to learn and utilize new and emerging technology
  • Familiarity with Google Analytics, Google Ads, Google Workspace, Facebook Ads, Spotify Ads, LinkedIn Ads, other digital paid advertising systems.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and standard methods of digital communication, including web/text/chat platforms.
  • Demonstrate tact, a positive attitude, courtesy and discretion in dealing with staff, high-level university officials, external firms and contractors, and the public.
  • Work independently as well as function effectively in a team and within a diverse group of people.
  • Exercise independent judgment in complex, new, and/or stressful situations.
  • Manage multiple, concurrent projects, and meet set deadlines.
  • Adaptability, flexibility and a willingness to work in a changing environment
  • Ability to work occasional evening or weekend hours.
