Position Summary

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center’s Digital Strategy team, a collaboration between the Marketing & Strategic Communications and Information Technology departments, is responsible for the OSU Wexner Medical Center’s (OSUWMC) web/mobile properties, which include the main OSUWMC public site, the Intranet (OneSource), the College of Medicine’s site, and dozens of other department or center web, mobile, email and social presences.

The Digital Marketing Consultant is responsible for setting the vision and strategy to build and implement the organization’s digital marketing program in support of The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center’s online business. This role is instrumental in helping drive the business forward by turning data into insights to increase acquisition, awareness, engagement across all digital channels – including the Wexner Medical Center’s web/mobile sites, email, search engine marketing and display advertising – for all key audiences including but not limited to current and future patients, referring physicians, research collaborators and donors.

The Digital Marketing Consultant proactively identifies current and future digital marketing needs, leading the organization toward a more effective use of resources to acquire, convert and engage constituents. They are responsible for driving digital marketing strategies and tactics data to create value-added, actionable, and strategic insights.

He/she oversees digital marketing projects working with the Marketing, User Experience, Social, Content and CRM staff to successfully implement, measure and optimize. Tactics include but are not limited to SEO, SEM, display ads (including social) and email. This position works with the CRM and digital analysts to track, report and implement optimization techniques to increase ROI and downstream revenue from digital marketing initiatives.

Desired Qualifications

  • Possess minimum of 3 years` relevant digital experience with a deep understanding of digital marketing strategies and tactics, digital analytics tools and digital data collection methodologies.
  • Knowledge of web analytics tools (Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Sitecore)
  • Knowledge of managing digital marketing campaigns (Google Search Console, Google Ad Network, Retargeting, Social Media advertising)
  • Working knowledge of testing solutions (e.g. Google Optimize)
  • Ability to work creatively and collaboratively with IT and business stakeholders to effectively implement, optimize and leverage solutions to meet business needs.
  • Demonstrated record of accomplishment leading digital marketing initiatives
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams, working other business units to identify goals, develop and implement strategies
  • Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to work well with senior management
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree required
