Position Summary:


Under the supervision of the Sr. Manager, Social Media Marketing the Influencer Marketing Strategist is responsible for the coordination, execution and evaluation of influencer marketing strategy for the National University System. This position will collaborate with the Social Media Strategist to execute influencer marketing strategy including communication plans, talent outreach, campaign planning, content creation and moderation.


This position requires attention to detail, in order to accurately and effectively execute on influencer marketing strategies. Ability to juggle multiple projects and priorities is strongly preferred. Knowledge of social media channels and experience developing content calendars is needed in order to effectively collaborate with the broader team.


Additional responsibilities include building relationships with influencers and partnering with the broader marketing team on campaign collaborations. This position is ideal for a creative individual who is self-motived with a love for creating content that inspires prospective students. Ability to manage and optimize processes as well as 3+ years of experience in social media marketing is required.


Essential Functions:


You are:

  • Experienced in understanding the nuances of multiple influencer platforms and the strategies to make the most of each one
  • Must have experience identifying, interviewing and onboarding talent
  • Experienced in developing contracts, negotiating and working closely with influencers
  • Adept at strategic planning and execution with higher-level marketing goals in mind
  • Proven track record of leveraging social to successfully drive organizational objectives and increase brand awareness and user engagement
  • Experienced in creative social campaign development
  • Must have experience developing content calendars
  • Proven track record of working with legal teams to develop terms and conditions for contests and giveaways
  • Experienced in building a network of influencers
  • Experienced in building monthly KPI reports
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field

Responsibilities:
  • Work with the marketing team to plan and execute creative influencer-based campaigns
  • Identify, negotiate with and contract influencers
  • Manages an annual budget up to $600K
  • Create a process for communication, follow up and tracking with influencers
  • Build and maintain outstanding relationships with a broad range of Influencers – from top tier to micro
  • Research to determine appropriate gifts and delivery options
  • Research and network to identify appropriate strategic alliances/partnerships
  • Manage influencer campaigns, contract negotiations, strategy briefing, and content creation
  • Create and manage content calendars
  • Be the subject matter expert for all things influencer related
  • Create, update and maintain an influencer database
  • Review influencer content, provide feedback and monitor influencer activity
  • Manage the influencer on-boarding process to create a seamless experience
  • Work closely with creative team to create video and social graphics
  • Analyze outcomes to fine tune our efforts, share regular reports and modify content based on outcomes
  • Communicate with followers, respond to queries in a timely manner and monitor social activity
  • Available to moderate M-F and on weekends as needed

Requirements:

Education & Experience

  • BA required
  • 3+ year social media marketing experience required


Technical / Functional Skills

  • Knowledge of social media channels: Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, Pinterest, LinkedIn
  • Knowledge of correct artwork dimensions for each social channel, ideal file types and best practices
  • Video and photo editing skills preferred
  • Knowledge of Falcon.io, Sprout Social, Hootsuite and other social media management tools
  • Knowledge of Izea, Tubular, CreatorIQ and other influencer marketing tools
Competencies:
  • Knowledge of mass media law and copyright law
  • Knowledge of all laws and regulations as it applies to social media and influencer marketing
  • Knowledge of latest social media and influencer marketing trends and developments
  • Knowledge of all social media channels as well as ideal artwork dimensions
