What You’ll Do
Meltwater is looking for an Americas Marketing Director with a demonstrated track record of successfully building and managing programs to build pipeline and increase customer lifetime value. You will report to the Executive Director of the Americas and work closely with regional business leaders across the US and Canada.
In this senior role, you will be responsible for managing our America’s Marketing team, and will oversee demand generation, field marketing, content creation, employer branding, digital marketing and design. As Meltwater expands our capabilities, breaking into new markets, the Marketing function is crucial to helping us achieve the scale and growth we are striving for.
We are looking for someone who comes preloaded with best practices and can lead the team both strategically and by example, while getting their hands dirty.
Working closely with our Executive Team, this is an impactful leadership opportunity within a fast-growing, publicly-traded global company.
Candidates can be based anywhere in the United States with a Meltwater office, (San Francisco, Los Angeles, Austin, Chicago, New York, Boston, Washington, D.C., Raleigh, Manchester, Atlanta, Miami, Charlotte), with the expectation of a hybrid office/WFH set up with some travel (when things get ‘back to normal’) and you will:
Develop marketing strategies, budgets and goals that support the Americas business to hit targets
Lead the local marketing team tasked with delivering marketing programs, such as social media, advertising, web marketing, events, and direct marketing
Align with global marketing leaders to extract relevant content and campaigns to be repurposed regionally, improve workflows, and reduce redundant work.
Identify new opportunities and tactics for customer acquisition and upsales; build scalable, data-driven campaigns to fill the sales pipeline.
Work closely with Sales leaders to develop and refine effective GTM approaches for different customer segments
Define and sustain KPIs to demonstrate performance, analyze results, and provide learnings and recommendations on how to improve.
Manage database segmentation and communications strategy to ensure we reach the right audience with the right message, at the right time; localize as needed.
Build forecasts and projections that relate to the expected ROI on marketing campaigns
What You’ll Bring
7+ years of experience in Marketing at a SaaS or social media company
5+ years managing high-performing teams with a proven track record of success
A demonstrated ability to lead the team tasked with delivering marketing programs, such as social media, advertising, web marketing, events, and direct marketing
Strong experience in tracking program results, measuring program success, and reporting metrics to marketing and sales leadership
A collaborative approach to work, with proven relationships across different departments and stakeholder groups
Detailed understanding of the trends and technology helping to shape the Marketing, PR, Communications and Social Media landscape
Familiar with demand waterfall, marketing automation and the path from lead to revenue
Strong executive presence with excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as external-facing presentation skills
Outstanding time management skills, including the ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines
Existing relationships with journalists and thought leaders in the PR, social media or technology space would be a plus
