Here`s how you`ll have an impact:

  • Ideate, create, and execute unique, high-quality, on-brand content for publication on the official @TeamUSA social media channels.
  • Write creative copy for social media platforms to enhance Team USA’s digital presence and fan engagement.
  • Maintain Team USA digital calendar and support ongoing digital & constituent campaigns.
  • Develop strategies and tactics to execute Team USA’s Olympic & Paralympic Trials & Games digital coverage.
  • Contribute to Team USA’s community management & engagement strategy through daily social conversations with fans, athletes, and influencers.
  • Source viral and trending social media concepts to incorporate with Team USA’s strategy for the Olympic and Paralympic Games, while attracting a new audience and social fanbase.
  • Maintain a pulse on trends in sports, pop culture, and fan culture, specifically related to the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
  • Research, strategize, and execute social media campaigns on all Team USA social media platforms
  • Design images/GIFs in Photoshop for posting on various social media platforms.
  • Actively generate new social media concepts to increase fan and athlete engagement.
  • Monitor USOPC social media platforms daily.

Here are the skills and experience you`ll need to be effective:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Experience using social media for professional/journalistic endeavors (i.e., Twitter, Facebook, Google+, Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest, Snapchat, etc.)
  • Demonstrated graphic design skills (Photoshop, Illustrator, Adobe Premier)
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Passion for sport and the ideals of the Olympic and Paralympic Movement
  • Excellent organizational skills

Here`s some more information you need to know:

  • Hiring Pay Rate: $17.50 per hour
  • This is a full-time, non-exempt, position intended to work 40 hours per week.
  • This is a temporary position intended to be a 6-month assignment
    • Approximate dates are Early November through End of May
  • Effective November 1, 2021, the USOPC is requiring all employees to be vaccinated against COVID-19.
