The Howard Hughes Corporation is searching for a highly motivated data expert to join our expanding Marketing and Strategy team as a Marketing Analyst. The individual in this position will help drive data driven strategies for HHC, working closely with the marketing teams across in each of the regions.

As a Marketing Analyst, you will be managing the cross-property tracking study as well as custom research to support marketing, design and placemaking. Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Marketing and Strategy, you will be integral to the team to execute, manage, report and design implications

Our Market Research Analyst will work closely with the Vice President of Marketing and Business Development and the company’s Business Development Manager - supporting all tasks related to gathering and analyzing data related to projects, markets, and competitors. The person in this role will interact with the larger Marketing and Business Development team and the senior leadership of the company. Given the changing nature of our business, there are tremendous opportunities for learning and growth. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, high energy and collaborative environment, with a sharp focus on delivering a supreme measure of accuracy in marketing research and business development support.

The Market Research Analyst will research, compile, and analyze information on projects and market conditions to create database information identifying potential new markets, business opportunities, specific contacts, and lead generation in target companies.

  • Collect data on consumers, competitors and the market and consolidate information into actionable items, reports and presentations.
  • Manage and executes all phases of a research study, including study design, questionnaire development, analysis, and reporting.
  • Interpret data, formulate reports, and make recommendations.
  • Work with experience strategists to understand the customer journeys and collect/analyze data where needed.
  • Gather 3rd party data from qualitative and quantitative analysis, including census data
  • Track and manage metrics to measure product performance (e.g. adoption metrics, customer satisfaction, etc.).
  • Assess market competition by comparing the company`s products to competitors` products.
  • Participate in design sessions as needed for features and solutions, supplying data where appropriate.
  • Assist business team by gathering competitive intelligence on real estate properties, future projects, clients, and competitors.
  • Liaise with regional teams to stay current on property, competitor, and regional trends.
  • Monitor news/publications for innovation and best practices.
  • Analyze data, make recommendations based on findings, and create reports.
  • Attend industry briefings, approval board meetings, conferences, and seminars, as appropriate.
  • Report on marketing KPIs like leads, conversion rates, website traffic and social media engagement.
  • Gather and analyze data related to market conditions and consumer demographics.
  • Develop tactics and metrics to assess the effectiveness of existing marketing, advertising and communications programs.
  • Monitor industry events/conferences for team to attend.


  • Eight to ten years of experience in a content creation or similar role
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
  • Self-starter with proven track record of working in a dynamic marketing environment
  • Passionate about data-led strategies
  • Strong communications skills and experience in storytelling
  • Ability to interpret large amounts of data and multi-task
  • Excellent interpersonal skills in areas such as teamwork, facilitation, and negotiation
  • Ability to present to both internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to synthesize and analyze data and make recommendations to the business
  • Ability to influence technical and non-technical partners
  • Search engines, web analytics, and business research tools acumen
  • In-depth understanding of SEM campaign strategies and SEO practices
  • Experience with PPC campaigns
  • Adequate knowledge of data collection methods (polls, focus groups, surveys, etc.)
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking
  • Excel based data-analysis
  • Knowledge of statistical packages, databases, and MS Office
  • Working knowledge of Power BI reporting/analytics tools (preferred)
  • Fluent in English
  • Strong SPSS/SAS and excel skills/pivot tables/vlookup
  • Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Project, Visio
