As a social media analyst, you use your specialized technical and functional experience and your attention to detail to develop develop reports, products, and assessments to give your client the actionable intelligence and context they need. If you have strong analytical skills and a problem solving mindset, we have an opportunity to use those skills to support our warfighters and inform our military leaders.

As a social media analyst on our team, you’ll conduct media research with publicly available information (PAI) and commercial media research tools to produce assessments focused on media coverage of planned activities and emergent real-world events. Using your understanding of various collection platforms, you’ll explore new data sources, build effective queries, and combine information from disparate sources, including web sites, electronic databases, and various social media platforms. You’ll validate information and apply client tradecraft as you build assessments for senior-level military leadership, to enable real-time understanding of this information environment. As the authority on assessing social media trends and reactions and other PAI to identify patterns and relationships that provide unique insights to address client requirements, your client will look to you for time critical recommendations, often under pressure. This is a chance to grow your expertise, develop new skills in shaping information environment assessment inputs and requirements to a strategic communication framework and coordinating product development and delivery, and share your methodologies with other analysts. We focus on growing as a team to deliver the best support to our customers, so you’ll have resources for mentoring and learning new skills and tools. You Have:

• 4+ years of experience with Open Source Intelligence or Social Media Analysis

• Experience conducting open-source research, including tool-based research

• Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

• Experience with Meltwater, Zignal, or Scraawl

• Experience deriving insights from large, multi-source data sets

• Ability to work under tight deadlines and translate ideas and concepts into professional communication products

• Secret clearance

• Bachelor`s degree

Nice If You Have:

• Experience working in a joint military environment

• Experience working at a combatant command

• Knowledge of data science concepts and emerging trends

• Knowledge of INDOPACOM AOR preferred

• Possession of strong consulting and problem-solving skills

• TS/SCI clearance preferred

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
