Position Summary:

Our team is looking for an experienced, businessinsights-focused executive to support our Communications function. This position will lead the development, management and executionof the social media strategy for both the agency and our individual clients,ensuring efforts align with overall marketing, brand awareness and engagementgoals throughout all areas of the business. This includes all aspects of content creation, posting, messaging,scheduling and analysis. The rolereports to the Vice President, Communications.


Role & Responsibilities:

  • Overseesthe development and execution of creative and impactful social media plans forthe agency and clients;
  • Drivesmeasurable growth and increased engagement across all social and digitalchannels;
  • Overseesdaily content calendars across all social media platforms ensuring consistencyand accuracy;
  • Developssocial strategy to amplify the Excel brand voice and maintain consistency whilespeaking to diverse audiences;
  • Overseesideation, pitching and execution of innovative content strategies for bothExcel and individual clients;
  • Establishesprocess around content planning, development, publishing and measurement forboth agency and clients;
  • Workscross-functionally with internal departments to communicate, organize andexecute strategies that support existing business on brand side and businessobjectives (i.e. Brand Marketing, Properties, Corporate Partnerships);
  • Liaiseswith major platforms on rollouts of new functions/tools and content partnershipopportunities;
  • Developsnew offerings, evaluates and onboards new platforms;
  • Workswith creative department on content development;
  • Advancessocial data and analytic reporting capabilities;
  • Stayscurrent on changes to the social media landscape, industry platform updates andnew techniques and develop responsive strategies;
  • Acts asexpert on social content within the overall agency content development strategy;
  • All other duties as assigned.


Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required;
  • 10+years of experience in social media and/or influencer marketing;
  • Previousmanagement experience required, proven ability to build a team preferred;
  • Trackrecord of creating and implementing social campaigns that drive awareness,engagement and channel growth.


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Musthave a passion for social media and strong storytelling, editorial and writingskills;
  • Abilityto understand a variety of brand voices and deliver appropriate contentstrategies;
  • Anunderstanding of what is current and relevant and a passion for staying aheadof trends;
  • Provenexperience hitting key social metrics and driving social media channel growth;detailed understanding of social media analytics;
  • Provensuccess building social following and engagement;
  • Historyof working with talent, preferably with sports/sports-related experience;
  • Mustpossess strong knowledge of social analytics tools and social scheduling;
  • Expertknowledge of all social platforms;
  • Demonstratedability managing and leading a team;
  • Musthave strong organizational skills and be able to multi-task and work inhigh-pace, dynamic environment;
  • Must exude emotional intelligence along with the ability tocommunicate and connect effectively and personably, recognizing the need toadjust communication styles based on the audience and situation;
  • Proactive and productive, recognizing opportunity and implementingprocedures to enhance efficiencies across the team;
  • Uncompromised ethics, integrity and morally sound, alwaysfocused on doing what is right.
