Social Media Analyst

This Social Media Analyst will be on a dynamic team, developing social media content for the US Navy in English and Spanish. Bring your expertise and collaborative skills to make an impact creating exciting content about our Navy.

Serco supports the US Navy for their contract which supports their defense work with the Chief of Naval Information. Our team works with the Navy to develop communications plans and content to inform the public about the Navy mission and accomplishments.

You will be part of a small communications team that works closely with the customer to develop content and monitor social presence of the US Navy.

In this role, you will:

Analyze Navy social media coverage in English and Spanish, including on social media accounts, blogs, and other websites.
Provide daily (during the workweek) updates of engagement metrics on the flagship Navy accounts (currently Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram).
Provide weekly qualitative and quantitative assessments of Navy social media content efforts.
Organize and host monthly social media training (30-minute session).
Interpret and make recommendations based on developments in DoD social media policy.
Develop Spanish and English-language content schedules for the Navy’s flagship accounts.
Identify opportunities to contribute to appropriate Spanish-language conversations.
Recommend Spanish-language content to contribute to the conversations. Post and share with others in CHINFO as directed.
Advise on new social media platforms to better reach target audiences.
