POSITION SUMMARY:

The Social Media and Community Outreach Assistant will assist with all community outreach and social medial efforts as assigned by Marketing Director. This primarily includes assisting with event setup and prep and other outreach opportunity, social media design and management, CRM tracking, and providing other administrative support functions as needed. This is a part-time (24-30 hr./week); hours and schedule will vary (some weekends and evening work may be necessary).

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist with All Community Outreach efforts, including booth setup, events, canvassing, etc. for FMA, Heritage, PNW Cremation and CDA Cremation.
  • Assist the Community Outreach Coordinator with on-site events
  • Implement yearly Social Media strategy for FMA, Heritage, PNW Cremation and CDA Cremation by creating content and scheduling posts monthly to social media sites.
  • Create social media content for events and boost/target as needed.
  • Records events and take pictures for social media content.
  • Responsible for data entry of marketing system (CRM).
  • Assist in the growth of the brand by raising awareness through various social media platforms.
  • Provides administrative support to Marketing Director, Community Outreach coordinator and executive team as needed.
  • Answers and directs incoming phone calls. Greets and serves all visitors to the executive office.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Our ideal candidate is a social media enthusiast with experience in copywriting, graphic design, and/or digital content creation.
  • Well organized and experienced with the following social media platforms: Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn.
  • Work alongside a fun and collaborative team.
  • Strategic and creative thinker with the drive and ability to present new ideas effectively.
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENTS:

Ability to lift up to 40lbs. Work environment may be either indoor or outdoor (possibly during inclement weather) May be required to stand on feet for long lengths of time. Fairmount Memorial Association promotes a drug/alcohol-free work environment through mandatory pre-employee drug test and background check.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalent.
