Position: Marketing and Event Assistant

Salary: $43,000 per year with excellent benefits.

Hours: 8:30 am to 4:30pm Onsite – Monday through Friday with some evenings and

occasional weekends. Flexibility is a must.

Location: Ronkonkoma N.Y.

The Marketing and Event Assistant role includes a range of responsibilities and tasks to support the agency’s growth. The role primarily involves a digital media campaign and coordination of fundraising and other community events.

General Responsibilities

  • Skilled in social media content creation within various platforms (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram etc.) that enhance the visibility of the agency;
  • Write, edit and proofread copy and materials that establishes quality and consistency;
  • Ensure content is properly tagged and tracked in order to determine effectiveness;
  • Conduct analytics of social media campaigns;
  • Maintain knowledge of digital ad trends/leading practices and applying new thinking and innovation to digital campaigns;
  • Contribute to the overall planning, creation, implementation, coordination and success of digital marketing campaign promotions;
  • Provide logistical support to the agency’s special events, including managing RSVP lists, leading check-in and coordinating with vendors;
  • Prepare acknowledgement and solicitation letters in a timely manner;
  • Data entry and gift processing in the agencies database;
  • Monitor program performance metrics to ensure that annual goals and outcomes are met and exceeded;
  • Continually seek to enhance one’s skills, proficiency, philosophy, and practical understanding in all areas pertinent to behavioral health services;
  • Act in a manner that exemplifies professional leadership with positive morale, role modeling, and judgment in the promotion of an empowering, person-centered program culture.
