An internship with Rooftop Films is a great opportunity for graduate and undergraduate students studying film, marketing, media and/or communications to learn how a nonprofit film festival works and see hundreds of great movies.

An intern’s primary focus will be to work closely with the Communications Manager and the programming and operations teams to help make Rooftop Films’ Summer Series a success including, as permissible under current safety guidelines, participating on site in the general operations of Rooftop Films screenings. Interns will also assist the communications team with marketing and outreach efforts.

Candidates must have excellent organizational and communication skills and an enthusiasm for independent cinema, its curation, and/or criticism. This internship is an excellent opportunity to participate in the process of producing our Summer Series and a great way to learn the inner workings of a film festival. We welcome undergraduate and graduate students (a passion for film is an absolute must; film production / film studies experience is a plus). Rooftop Films is an equal opportunity employer, and strongly encourages women and people of color to apply.
