Creating Community Resilience Coalition ManagerPhoenix School of Roseburg POSITION BACKGROUND: Creating Community Resilience (CCR) and our backbone organization, Phoenix School of Roseburg, are recruiting a Coalition Manager to help us realize our Strategic Plan goals ( - Our Projects Strategic Plan).CCR is a community-based organization collaborating to provide regional leadership in preventing and mitigating Adverse Childhood Experiences and Adverse Community Environments by building trauma-informed capacities that create more resilient communities in Douglas County, Oregon. The resource provided by CCRs collaborative approach is responding to meet the needs of those in our communities most impacted by the effects of personal, family, and community traumas. Health, social, and financial inequities have further challenged the ability of our communities to provide diversity, equity, and inclusion already complicated by racism and oppression and exacerbated by toxic stress, trauma, intergenerational trauma and social determinants.Those capacities include: a) Increasing trauma-informed awareness through our website/you tube channel communications hub, community presentations, and activities like our Lunch, Learn, & Connect series.b) Organizational development of TI principles and Practices employing Sanctuary and other models of developing organizational TI culture.c) Providing technical assistance and resources to develop TI-informed systems of care.d) Engaging in cross-service sector projects that improve social, health, education, and economic outcomes for trauma-affected populations.e) Providing community connections for Health Care Systems to better reach under-served populations and increase health care equity and outcomes.The Coalition Manager position is an administrative position assigned to assist CCR and its Leadership Team (LT) in executing the functions of CCR and to carry out the various activities of the coalition consistent with its mission and strategic plan. CCRs Manager acts as the agent of CCR in the community with direct reports to the LT and its Executive Committee.

The Manager is designed to be both the face of CCR in our community and to engage and coordinate Key Community Leaders, Partners, and resources in carrying out the work of the coalition.Mission and Strategy: Works with CCR Leadership Team and staff to ensure that the mission is fulfilled through programs, strategic planning and community engagement.Responsible for implementation of CCR projects that carry out the coalitions mission. Advise the CCR Chair/Leadership Team and co-plan activities related to realizing Strategic Plan goals and annual work plan project goals and outcomesResponsible for the growth of CCR by being active and visible in the community and by working closely with other agencies and community groups.Coordinate participating CCR Organization activities and resources to accomplish and document grant goals, outcomes, and reporting requirements.Community organizing and engagement including CCR Coalition organizations, Key Community Leaders, and Key Partners to leverage resources and develop strategies to help move Douglas County along the roadmap to TIC implementation.Leadership and Management: Works with CCR Leadership Team in order to fulfill the coalitions mission.Responsible for leading CCR Leadership Team and committees in a manner that supports and guides the mission as defined by the CCR Leadership TeamResponsible for communicating effectively with the CCR Leadership Team and providing, in a timely and accurate manner, all information necessary for the CCR Leadership Team to function properly and to make informed decisions.Ensure ongoing excellence, evaluation, and consistent quality of administration, communications, and systems; recommend timelines and resources needed to achieve strategic goals.Actively engage and energize CCR Leadership Team, committees, key leaders, and partnering organizations, and funders.Financial Viability: Develops resources sufficient to ensure the financial health of the coalition.With support from CCR Fiscal Agent, responsible for the fiscal integrity of CCR to include submission to the Leadership Team of a proposed annual budget and monthly financial statements, which accurately reflect the financial condition of the coalition.Responsible for fiscal management that ensures operating within the approved budget and maximum resource utilization.Administrate grant applications, activities, and reporting.Organization Operations: Oversees and implements appropriate resources to ensure that the operations of the coalition are appropriate.Responsible effective administration of CCRs operations.Deepen and refine all aspects of communicationsfrom web presence to external relations with the goal of creating stronger awareness. Operate the CCR Communications Hub (e.g., website Library, connections, and Speakers Bureau) functions in coordination with Phoenix front office, administration, tech support, and website developer services.Responsible for signing all notes, agreements, and other instruments made and entered into and on behalf of the organization.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Bachelors Degree + Related Trainings and/or Coursework. Masters Degree and applicable Trainings/Coursework preferred.Community organizing or network and coalition building or equivalent work experience.Proficient with computer skills and programs (e.g., Word, Excel, Zoom)Experience with data collection and budgets.Systems work experience preferred (e.g., systems of care, cross-service system collaborations, data collection systems).Physical Requirements: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
