Job Purpose
The consultant, social media is responsible for GuideWell and Florida Blue`s narrative on social media channels, leading the creative development process from ideation through execution and translating brand and media strategies into engaging, breakthrough creative concepts across social media and on other digital communication platforms. The consultant is passionate about growing the enterprise`s purpose-driven reputation through social experiences. They are a digital media expert who is excited to push boundaries and lead a new social vision grounded by key messaging and connected to the enterprise business priorities. A strong collaborator who works with cross functional teams and advocates for a creative-first approach.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Serve as social media strategist and digital content creator for the organization
    • Conceptualize and execute social media campaigns connected to GuideWell and Florida Blue business priorities
    • Provide strategic direction to enable communication partners to develop powerful, compelling digital content and recommend
    appropriate execution methods through deep understanding of communications platforms
    • Produce thoughtful, engaging and visually pleasing content to highlight hyper-local initiatives, social impact and further strengthen
    GuideWell and Florida Blue’s corporate reputation
    • Translate overall organizational priorities into social media executions
    • Demonstrate strategic, out-of-the-box thinking to create digital content that is engaging, educational and aligned with enterprise
    • Collaborate on integrated campaigns and produce inspiring, data-driven creative briefs for integration into broad and targeted
    communication plans
    • Drive the development of strong and engaging content to support customer needs and desired outcomes

    • Champion and challenge good ideas
    • Develop social experiences for internal and external audiences that solve business problems
    • Develop and manage content calendars
    • Oversee the leadership LinkedIn program and create engaging content to position executives as industry thought leaders; deploy
    strategies to grow leaders’ network and reach
  • Ensure connectivity and integration across communications ecosystem
    • Recommend integrated strategies to drive connectivity to and engagement of meaningful digital content
    • Co-develop overarching key messaging and ensure linkage across the social ecosystem of owned, earned and paid media
    • Develop and manage social integration with media relations, crisis communications, culture communications, executive
    communications and business communications
    • Partner with channel management specialist to ensure digital content is posted on proper channels at proper time
    Reinvent and drive utilization of the company’s employee advocacy program in partnership with reputation communications leads
  • Analyze campaign and strategy effectiveness
    • Analyze effectiveness of strategic approach and pivot as necessary to include defining KPI’s to align with business objectives
    • Create ad-hoc reports for senior leadership (EEMT) as needed related to issues/crisis management monitoring
    • Provide social media strategy recommendations based on industry trends, platform algorithms, and current performance trends
  • Provide direction and oversight across all GuideWell and Florida Blue social channels and capabilities
    • Lead the overall look and feel and maintenance of all Florida Blue-branded social media sites (i.e. Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, etc.)
    • Serve as a leader in the digital space and train and educate peers to maximize integration across Enterprise Communications team
    • Identify and analyze best-in-class support tools and technologies
    • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in both social and digital spheres and foster education and adoption throughout the organization
    • Partner with media buying teams (internal and agency) to provide strategic recommendations to drive business results and garner meaningful takeaways that evolve our platform and content approach
    • Partner with channel management team on appropriate social vendor platforms
  • Manages social media systems/platforms such as Sprinklr to manage content creation, curation, engagement, and customer service.
  • Operationalize content calendar usage with Enterprise Communications team to allow for consistent planning and proper scheduling.
  • Manage and evolve reporting processes for as a means to inform internal clients of successes and areas of improvement to continue to evolve social media engagement

What You Must Have:
6+ years related work experience to include social media program management or enterprise level organization social media strategy experience.

Related Bachelor`s degree required

Additional Required Qualifications
Excellent communications, writing, and project management skills
Ability to integrate social media into broader communications campaigns
Advanced knowledge and understanding of social media and networking platforms (Twitter, WordPress, LinkedIn, SlideShare, You Tube, Google+)
Experience working with senior management in a variety of functional areas

What We Would Prefer You Have:
General familiarity with the health care and health insurance industry

Bachelor’s degree, marketing, or communications

Social Media systems and platform experience such a Sprinklr, i.e.

Bilingual skills (English/Spanish)

Strong relationship builder

Ability to multi-task

Time management experience

Demonstrated negotiation skills, persuading and/or influencing skills

General Physical Demands
Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally to move objects. Jobs are sedentary if traversing activities are required only occasionally.
