Job Title: Marketing and Communications Lead Consultant

Position Summary: To manage and implement public relations and communications strategies and campaigns for Where Is My Land. As a communications manager, you must possess a pleasant and service-oriented demeanor with business-appropriate interpersonal manners, as well as the ability to clearly and professionally convey information. You must be able to organize, manage and track multiple detailed tasks and assignments with frequently changing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced work environment. Our preferred Marketing and Communications Lead is a quick learner who has an excellent work ethic, pays close attention to detail to ensure that reports, correspondence and databases are accurate, and exercises effective problem-solving skills. You must be able to follow instructions, adhere to deadlines and lead by example.

  • All marketing and communication: Handling PR, press, supervise social media manager, website, communication collateral and deliverables, marketing campaigns, events, content creation, family strategies and communication and relations
  • Managing and writing internal and external communications materials and ensuring that all content meets message consistency and accuracy
  • Creating, managing, designing, and writing monthly newsletters
  • Leading the creation, managment and implemention of family/group social media strategies.
  • Supervising the creation of digital content across platforms to increase awareness of Where Is My Land (WIML)
  • Support the CEO in executing annual communications plans for the organization
  • Manage and create content for the website to ensure all content is up to date and engaging
  • Write, edit, and pitch content internally and externally
  • Attend and support external events when necessary
  • Organize and maintain marketing and communications library for WIML team
  • Use data and analytics to support storytelling
  • Attend weekly meetings with Advocacy Lead and Family Liaision
  • Attend weekly meetings with CEO

Master`s degree or equivalent; or four to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Ability:

Read, analyze and interpret business, professional, technical or governmental documents. Write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, customers and the public.

Mathematical Ability:

Work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability:

Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Availability: This position requires the ability to work at least 30 hours a week. Consultant must be flexible as they will need to work some evenings and weekends. This is a 3–6-month contract and this position entails a strict level of confidentiality. This is a remote position but may require some travel.

Where Is My Land prefers a candidate that is not opposed to signing an NDA and that is available to transition to a full-time position subsequent to expiration of a consulting agreement.
