Field Marketing, Assistant Director

Join our Brand, Marketing and Communications (BMC) team and you will directly support and promote our brand and reputation. You’ll provide a wide range of marketing and communications services to internal and external audiences. These include current and future clients, our current and future employees, alumni, regulators, the media and the communities within which we operate.

The opportunity

You will have the opportunity to strategically position EY’s distinctive brand in the Southeast market through a range of integrated marketing programs aimed at clients and prospects within a specific geography. You’ll have the opportunity to work closely with EY Office Managing Partners, EY Private Leaders and Entrepreneur of the Year© (EOY) Leaders, play a crucial role in meeting market objectives and achieving revenue goals by developing the local field marketing plan, leading the implementation of a wide range of marketing activities and buyer programs and the use of digital and social media marketing.

Your key responsibilities

You will be responsible for the effective deployment of buyer, cross sector, EY Private and alliance programs into the Southeast as well as the effective program management of a local EY Entrepreneur Of the Year program. You’ll be expected to collaborate and engage with leaders to develop a geographic marketing strategy that integrates EY Private pillars and programs, alumni community engagement, and buyer programs to drive growth with EY Private clients.

Skills and attributes for success

  • Ability to cultivate and maintain strong relationships with internal marketing stakeholders, manage expectations and build trust
  • Ability to engage and collaborate in virtual peer networks with other US-Central Region Field Marketing Strategists to develop and deploy key geographic programs and share best practices
  • Adept at overseeing the development and deployment of multi-channel campaigns (PR, paid social, web, conference / events, strategic partnerships) across a geography
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple concurrent marketing initiatives
  • Strength in working independently to resolve challenges while maintaining an active dialogue with leaders and stakeholders

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • Minimum of 7-8 plus years of marketing and communications experience, with industry and/or professional services experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably with a marketing or communications major or equivalent experience, MBA is a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (including creating and delivering presentations) as well as listening and interpretation skills including the talent to translate complex technical concepts into compelling marketing messages
  • Proven talent at building relationships and influencing without authority to produce results and outcomes
  • Possesses poise and confidence to professionally interact with all levels of leadership and team across groups of diverse stakeholders
  • A proven track record of success in a large, global and highly matrixed enterprise, ideally in the professional and/or financial services industry
  • Solid understanding of advanced marketing and communication principles and go-to-market and sales processes in a complex organization

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Strong project management skills and proficiency at effectively managing multiple complex and time-sensitive projects
  • Efficient time management and prioritization skills
  • Adept at working independently as well as within virtual teams
  • Strong leadership skills to coach and develop junior level team members
