Tellus Solutions has partnered with a pioneer virtualization and cloud-computing Silicon Valley-based company. Your technical expertise as an Marketing Consultant (Sr Product Marketing Manager) in the area of B2B Enterprise Marketing on Enterprise Products will contribute to our client`s effort.

As a Product Marketing Manager, you own Avi`s content strategy. You will be responsible for telling the Avi story, conveying Avi`s product differentiators in a unique way, ensuring consistent, effective product knowledge and positioning by the sales team. You will be a liaison to, and in many cases, adjunct member of the product and engineering team, engaging in a two-way dialogue about company, product, and marketing priorities. You will be creating compelling messaging and stellar content, collaborating on pricing strategy, leading product launches and creating and executing effective go-to-market plans. You will be very product literate, have a strong understanding of adjacent market segments, and come up with strategies for gaining traction in our key markets. You will be an outbound voice of the customer and product.

Day-to-day responsibilities

  • Be a "content machine”: Develop strategic sales enablement collateral. Create the whole spectrum of sales tools and collateral (presentations, datasheets, white papers, customer case studies, demos, and training materials). Form a narrative of Avi`s solutions to the market.
  • Be a "launch master”: Run a tight ship across cross-functional teams to message and position new solutions to customers, partners, press and analysts, and enable the field and channel.
  • Be an "audience reader”: Develop appropriate positioning. Slice and dice content while tuning messaging on the fly for different level audiences and for different target segments.

Identify compelling market problems and industry trends.

  • Develop the sales and channel strategy, analyze the sales cycle and channel mix, and formulate ideas and approaches to optimize the selling process.
  • Serve as Avi spokesperson as necessary for customers, analysts, press, and industry events.
  • Perform competitive analysis, define and communicate key Avi advantages through battle cards and competitive updates.
  • Provide sales training to communicate market updates, product messaging/positioning, and competitive updates.

Who are in the trenches with you?

  • You will interface with key executives, influence decisions and collaborate with colleagues in all key company functions and products (remember, every app needs us?).
  • You will be a translator between product management / engineering and marketing / sales; articulate both what and how; elevate or drill down at different altitude for different audience.

You will work closely with the sales and SE team to ensure that our key differentiators and benefits are properly conveyed in the sales materials and demos.

  • You will interact with vendors in website development, designers, demand gen, marketing automation, social media, SEO etc. to be an end-to-end, ROI-driven product marketer.

Skills and requirements

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills. Ability to translate technology and product features into business value.
  • Experience creating sales enablement content for networking, data center management, service orchestration, security, configuration management and/or related tooling
  • Comfortable recording videos, demoing products, presenting in webinars and tradeshows
  • Proven track record in bringing to market at least 2-3 new products and/or solutions using customer and business centered rigor
  • At least 3-4 years of product marketing, product management, or sales engineering in enterprise software
  • B2B Enterprise Marketing on Enterprise Products MUST HAVE!
  • HTML Would be helpful

  • Bay area preferred but open to all US locations. Physical locations are not a deal breaker. Most importantly is to make connections with the teams and be productive anywhere you work from.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Salary: Up to $64.00 per hour
